“In Gravity to One Another”
LA Artcore at Union Center for the Arts March 24 - April 24th, 2022
LA Artcore is pleased to present 𝘐𝘯 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, a two-artist exhibit featuring recent works by Los Angeles-based artists Ann Gooding and Nicholette Kominos.
Through works in painting, mixed media, and sculpture, 𝘐𝘯 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 engages awareness upon forces of change that define daily life and the world at large. Ecological collapse amidst social isolation pervades the paintings of Ann Gooding, where tensions activate between structured compositional methods, gestural brushstrokes, and chromatic symbolism. Gooding draws upon the art-historical legacies of Minimalism and the genre of landscape.
